a random deity
From the earliest days of the development of human language and imagination, all manner of deities have been worshipped in various ways. Often deities would disappear and then reappear, sometimes in the same form, sometimes as variations or transformations of a previously revered supreme being.
In ancient caves near Lourdes, wall paintings celebrated hunting, fishing, shooting, and other activities performed in honour of numerous forgotten deities. These included the doglogod, the most revered of all the dog-themed deities of old, and the whaledogod, widely held to be the son of doglogod. These paintings attempt to capture the essence of the reverence due to that long lost caninical theocracy.
